Adjustable Trailer Hitch - Ready Steady Tow

An adjustable trailer hitch is a simple ready-to-use hitch, which is ideal for applications where the vehicle tows trailers of varying coupler heights. The assembly of the components in the BI provides perfect clearances for a trailer coupling. It uses less material without reducing the strength and security of the device.

Most pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles have a ball trailer hitch or a receiver hitch. In an adjustable trailer hitch device, a shaft is fixed to the tube of a towing vehicle, which finally ends in the aperture plate with an opening. A second plate with another opening can be fixed by bolts to the first plate. On high vehicles, the shank can be installed with the large plate turned downward. On low vehicles, the shank can be installed with the large plate turned upward. The shank can be fastened with a receiver lock pin and a safety clip can be inserted in the hole on the end of the pin to secure it.

Trailer hitches must be installed correctly to the truck or the entire hitch mechanism can come off, especially when traveling or driving over uneven terrain. With such a wide range of drop and rise in the adjustable trailer hitch, you are in a position to level out your trailer for safer, more secure towing.
